Thanksgiving Gratitude

Since Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, I am especially aware of all of the many blessings that I have. I am thankful for each and every one of them. Of course, I am the most thankful for my family. I cannot imagine my life without them and I am extremely grateful to my husband for what he does for all of us each and everyday day.

I am thankful for my friends that I see often, my Facebook friends, and for the friends who inspire and awe me in blogland! I am constantly amazed at your talents and creativity in everything that you do.

I am humbled by the individuals who read my blog and, more astonishingly, bother to comment on a post.  Thank you - I am truly touched by your willingness to take the time to express your opinion.

I am deeply appreciative to God for this beautiful world that he has given to us. What a gift!!

For the beautiful Fall colors and the rain and wind - the stunning beauty of the mountains and the seashore.

I am thankful that I live in a country where we can speak out freely and worship, as we please.

Oh, I almost forgot one more important thing for which I am very grateful - that the University of Alabama football team is still undefeated. ROLL TIDE!!! If you have a team, I hope they are doing well and that you enjoy all of the crazy football games, during the Thanksgiving week-end.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Diane

  9. I guess if your turkey centerpiece did get stolen you wouldn't know which one of your envious followers would be the culprit. Hmmmm..... But seriously, Your Thanksgiving table is beautiful. The Alfred Meakin Fairwinds plates, in the blue or brown, are favorites of mine. You have so many lovely fall accent pieces that add so much to this charming Thanksgiving table. Have a lovely holiday.

  19. We are very thankful for you, too, my dear, and equally awed and inspired by the fine work you roll out in your tablescaping. (See how I got that Roll Tide thing kinda intertwined in there?) I LOVE your monogrammed napkins!!!! I agree with Bev that the teal really rocks the table. Marries traditional with contemporary in a really nice way. That salad bowl is cool! There are few salad bowls on earth that really move me, but this is truly sharp! Enjoy your weekend!!!

  21. It's a beautiful post, Diane...concentrating on the truly important things rather than the "things" we have. Having said that, :), your table is lovely. I love that huge turkey, and I love the blues on the table--in the pictures the candles and the goblets look a bit teal--perfect as I see them on this table!

Thanks so much for stopping by my Santa Train post, and your always-sweet comments.

If we don't connect before Thanksgiving, I wish you a day filled with family joy. ~Zuni
